Truly the greatest sci-fi film ever made, Kubrick delivers an absolute masterpiece before we’d even landed on the moon, in the midst of the space race; 2001 left me breathless.
It’s not for everyone, but if sci-fi is your bag, A Space Odyssey will surely sit alone, on the top of your top ten list. Visually stunning and a story told without words accompany a brilliantly elegant soundtrack which leaves you questioning existence itself.
A simply amazing film.
(It’s also worth noting that reading up interpretations of the film after seeing it will add a whole other dimension to the story)
10/10 - my favourite sci-fi film ever.
